Have a Song Dedicated to Me

There are some friends in life you know will be there until the end... one thing I know for certain is that these friends are precious and rare. This entry is dedicated to my dearest friend Lucas Kirby --  a man of incredible integrity and magnificient talent. It has been my honor just to know him and his incredible heart. Always a handsome man, he charmed the girls in middle school with his "off the cuff" piano melodies and sincerity. And I know he has millions more yet to charm.

I always joked with Luke that he wasn't a true friend unless he wrote a song for me. It is almost fifteen years late *wink* but it was worth the wait. Luke wrote a song that expresses a conversation we had about encouragement and keeping a pure hope in the midst of difficult times. As the old saying goes, new lands can't be discovered unless you are willing to lose sight of the shore.
