Re-unite with Childhood Friend
Hello all! Reporting from the living room couch...just got back from seeing "Iron Man 2"...why oh why didn't I ask Robert Downey Jr. for a picture when I met him before? I didn't even care who he was at the time and now I think he is HOT! Anyway...I digress...
Finding a long lost childhood friend...the first thing I had to do to accomplish this goal was to determine which long lost childhood friend to reunite with. This wasn't difficult for me...her name is Carly and memories of our friendship bring with them the nostalgia of late nights listening to old Milli Vanilli tapes (I still listen to Milli Vanilli by the way!) and the traditional dress-up games.
I am soooo grateful for Facebook, although I had to find Carly through her dad who then connected me to her. Seeing her was so wonderful...we went back and forth via email for several months before we were able to meet at Mikados for sushi...yum. When I walked into the restaurant I could definitely see the face of the best friend I had through most of elementary school...even after almost 20 YEARS!!!

It was good to see how happy she is...married...athletic...and just as beautiful as she was as a little girl. We reminisced over our Milli Vanilli days and talked about our hopes for the future. I am so grateful to be able to re-connect with her... "Make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold."
